„Sheela-na-Gig“ is a term for medieval stone figures, that display their vulvas in an impertinant way. They reflect both, an ancient „female power“ but also the misogyny during history until today. Based on this notion, the essayistic shortfilm SHEELA questions in various episodes the concept of „femaleness“ and its attributions. Drawn animation meets Stop Motion meets live action.
